Session description
Energy costs and environmental impacts necessitate new concepts for drying. Consequently, building upon its extensively proven thin-film dryers, Buss-SMS-Canzler has developed energy-efficient processes for industrial drying: a two-stage drying system and a dryer incorporating a heat pump - each featuring distinct concepts for heat recovery from the vapors. The dryer itself, the process engineering concepts, and the potential for energy savings are presented. Depending on the specific concept, energy savings of 45% to 70% can be achieved compared to drying without heat recovery.
