INERTING is an effective method for preventing explosions and fires. 

Proven technologies include carbon monoxide (CO) measurement for the early detection of smoldering fires and oxygen (O2) analysis for monitoring the inert atmosphere.

These measures are mandated by the CEN TR/15281:2022 and VDI 2263/2 guidelines. Early detection of smoldering fires enables operators to prevent explosions and fires through technical measures.

Continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and oxygen (O2) is essential for explosion protection. Operation is supported by a visualization system; system states and relevant parameters—such as inert gas levels, valve positions, and measured values—are processed and displayed.
