Having passed the prototype stage, we present a new optical sensor that measures temperature up to 600 °C and pressure up to 70 bar simultaneously and is specially designed for harsh environments. The sensor has been tested for over 5 years by the world's largest turbine manufacturers and is now being used in the process industry.

Principle- A light pulse is sent through a glass fibre to a lens.- The reflection of the light is analysed in an interferometer.- If the temperature changes, the lens dilates or compresses.- If the pressure changes, the lens is deformed.- Both change the reflected light spectrum.
