90 minutes of concentrated information – that is what POWTECH TECHNOPHARM's Virtual Talks will be offering again every month starting in March. The topics are as diverse as the trade fair itself. The online seminar series highlights technologies that are currently relevant to the processing industries and offer added value to participants.
The topics are often relevant to numerous industries that process or manufacture bulk solids: from innovations for economical mixing and dispersing to drying processes in powder production to safe and energy-saving options for bulk solids conveying. Repeatedly, technologies for specific fields of application in process engineering are also highlighted, such as those that are important in the manufacture of battery materials or in additive manufacturing. The associations and organisations that support POWTECH TECHNOPHARM also regularly contribute topics. The VDMA Special recently focused on innovative dust management solutions and the challenges of the EU Green Deal. In the run-up to the PARTEC Congress, participants learned about the functionalities that can be achieved with nano- and supra-particles. The Virtual Talks often also form the TECHNOPHARM part of the trade fair, supported by the APV (Association for Pharmaceutical Process Engineering). In the past, topics have included robot-assisted API processing and the importance of powder rheology in pharmaceutical processes.

Anyone who is curious about these and other topics from past Virtual Talks is welcome to watch the expert presentations on the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM YouTube channel. An overview of the webinars from the last three years can also be found on the Virtual Talks landing page of the trade fair.
Each Virtual Talk comprises three presentations by experts from three companies or organisations, who provide clear and informative insights into trends and solutions relating to the respective key topic. In 20 minutes, each of the speakers presents innovative approaches and the contribution that their products, systems or services make in this context. Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions or contribute to the discussion themselves.
The next season of the Virtual Talks series will start in April. This time, topics related to process automation and digitalisation will be addressed. Thomas Eules from Sacchi will shed light on the path from manual processes to Smart Factory 4.0 with artificial intelligence and robotics in powder handling. Philipp Pahl from Eirich will highlight opportunities for process optimisation in the bulk solids industry using AI and data. The third presentation will focus on digital strategies for optimising maintenance (speaker N. N.).
Anyone who would like to participate free of charge via live stream (via MS Teams) is welcome to register on the Virtual Talks page as soon as the next date has been set. Due to the high level of international interest, particularly from Europe including Turkey, most experts will give their presentations in English. In the past, the organisers have counted up to 100 participants. At least six more Virtual Talks are planned between now and the next POWTECH TECHNOPHARM from 29 September to 1 October 2026, covering topics as diverse as particle measurement technology, pharmaceutical production, recycling process engineering, process air technology, and other technologies for the bulk solids industry. Suggestions for topics are welcome. If you would like to participate as a speaker in one of the next Virtual Talks, please contact powtech-technopharm@nuernbergmesse.de. We will keep you regularly informed about the next scheduled dates on the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM homepage and on the trade fair's social media channels.
