After the regular off year, POWTECH TECHNOPHARM will again be the hot spot for international excellence in process technology. Experts from many different application industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and feed, and chemicals, will come together in Nuremberg from 23 to 25 September 2025. 538 exhibitors from 27 countries (most of them in Europe) will present the latest process engineering and analytics solutions for processing powder, bulk solids, and fluids in four exhibition halls. The diverse programme combines concentrated information with interactive formats such as expert forums, special shows, and live demonstrations, in an environment that is ideally suited for inspirational knowledge transfer. As in previous years, the concentrated expertise assembled at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre will be complemented by the concurrently held scientific congress PARTEC, with 450 participants and top-shelf lectures on the current state of particle technology.

44 percent of this year’s POWTECH TECHNOPHARM exhibitors hail from countries other than Germany. Aside from Germany, international participants from Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Austria are especially well represented.
New location, same appeal
This year, POWTECH TECHNOPHARM will be held for the first time in Halls 9 to 12, in the northwestern part of the Exhibition Centre, which is ideally located close to the underground metro system, the West Entrance, and the Mitte Entrance. From the eastern part of the Exhibition Centre, it’s only a short walk through the Exhibition Park, where a spectacular demonstration of live explosions will again be shown in 2025. And for the first time this year, the trade fair admittance ticket will come with a complimentary “KombiTicket” pass for the public transport system.
As an additional benefit for visitors, the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM ticket will also grant admittance to the concurrently held FACHPACK in Halls 1 to 7A, where exhibitors will be presenting innovative packaging solutions for today and tomorrow.
Global platform for cross-industry dialogue
POWTECH TECHNOPHARM is the preeminent platform for the entire process technology community. The trade fair’s diverse, premium-quality programme attracts experts from all over Europe and the world’s leading processing markets. This is where end users, mechanical and plant engineering firms, and component manufactures come together for fruitful discussions across industry lines. As a cross-industry trade fair, it offers solutions for nearly all application industries, primarily including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and the food and feed industry, but also other sectors such as building materials, ceramics, cosmetics, glass technology, batteries, environmental engineering, and recycling. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM is a highly valuable platform where representatives of different industries can learn from each other and jointly develop innovative new solutions. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM’s programme is more diverse and entertaining than ever. Besides tried-and-true highlights, visitors will also be treated to new features such as the Pharma-in-Focus Pavilion in Hall 10, which shines a spotlight on pharmaceuticals process engineering, as well as the networking format WOMEN4PROCESSING and the TECHNOPHARM Forum. Furthermore, our established partners will be joined by new partners such as the food and packaging association ZLV (Zentrum für Lebensmittel- und Verpackungstechnologie e. V.), the German industry association BDI (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e. V.), the energy purchasers association VEA (Bundesverband der Energie-Abnehmer e. V.), and IND EX® (Intercontinental Association of Experts for INDustrial EXplosion Protection e. V.).
On all three trade fair days, top-shelf presentations on topics of current interest will be given at 30-minute intervals at the two expert forums POWTECH FORUM in Hall 12 and TECHNOPHARM FORUM in Hall 10. The speakers include both manufacturers and users. Young professionals in particular will be interested in POWTECH FORUM’s Thursday programme, which will be tailored specifically to the Student Day target audience. And at the TECHNOPHARM FORUM – conceived and moderated by honorary sponsor APV (the pharmaceuticals process engineering association known as Arbeitsgemeinschaft für pharmazeutische Verfahrenstechnik e. V.), – visitors will experience the first-ever “VDI Science Slam”, where the speakers will compete against each other in presenting their particular research topic in an entertaining, creative, and readily comprehensible manner. After that, Felix Behm, German Master of Public Speaking 2022, will give an unusual keynote speech of interest to many spectators besides pharmaceutical experts. Both events can be attended free of charge and without having to register in advance.
Under the slogan “From Vision to Reality – Empowering Tomorrow”, VDMA Service GmbH and VDMA Fachverbänden Allgemeine Lufttechnik und Verfahrenstechnische Maschinen und Apparate, acting together and in collaboration with their member firms, will discuss 10 current trends such as battery recycling and interface standards like OPC UA in Hall 10.
This year’s POWTECH TECHNOPHARM features a new networking format for women in process technology, called WOMEN4PROCESSING. At this event, dedicated women in the fields of industry, research and development, marketing and sales, and science will come together for interdisciplinary discussions. This exclusive networking event will be held on 23 September from 12:00 to 14:00 o’clock.
At the “Young Innovators” Pavilion in Hall 9, young German entrepreneurs will present their latest developments, ranging from digital process solutions to innovative process technology. The Networking Pavilion in Hall 12 will provide a unique opportunity to interact with international start-ups and established firms, as a platform for fresh ideas and cooperation ventures. Leading technical colleges, universities, and dedicated young talents will present their ideas at the Campus Pavilion, where visitors can learn about current research projects and participate in workshops, guided tours, and direct contacts with academic institutions.
The International Meeting of Bulk Goods Associations on 23 September in NCC West will provide insights into international markets and cooperation opportunities in Germany, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Every day at 12:00 and 16:00 o’clock (Thursday at 15:00 o’clock), the REMBE Research + Technology Center (RTC) will perform live demonstrations on the subject of explosion safety in the Exhibition Park as an impressive way of showing exactly how modern protection systems work. The association IND EX® (Intercontinental Association of EXperts for INDustrial Explosion Protection e.V.), which supports research projects at the RTC, will hold its IND EX Explosion Safety Forum on 23 September.
PARTEC 2025: Innovation and sustainability in particle technology
Again this year, the three-day PARTEC scientific congress, which highlights particle technology at the highest level, will be held concurrently with POWTECH TECHNOFARM in the NCC Ost part of the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. More than 450 representatives of science, industry, and research from over 20 countries are expected to attend the congress. With its strong international orientation, PARTEC fosters dialogue between the worlds of research and industrial applications. Under the slogan “Particles Empowering Tomorrow: Innovation for Our Global World”, PARTEC 2025 will offer a trailblazing programme featuring more than 400 presentations in 30 topic sessions dealing with both current challenges and visionary developments in particle technology. And for the first time ever, the PARTEC Congress will provide a platform to VDI-Gesellschaft Verfahrens- und Chemietechnik (VDI-GVC), as honorary sponsor, to stage two of its contests for young talents: chemPLANT, which is focused on theoretical knowledge and practical applications in process technology, and ChemCar, a race between model cars powered by (bio)-chemical reactions to be held at POWTECH TECHNOPHARM.
