POWTECH TECHNOPHARM has drawn the processing community to Nuremberg two years in a row. Now it’s preparing for the next round: From 29 September to 1 October 2026 the Nuremberg exhibition venue will once again be abuzz with everything relating to the processing of powders, solids and liquids, with a focus on the latest market and trend topics. The international processing community can look forward to three full days of top-level expert interaction, innovations and trends for the relevant sectors of the process engineering industry.
With just a few months to go before the exhibition, the team from POWTECH TECHNOPHARM is putting every effort into the preparations. Although the exhibition starts at the end of September, the current floor plans can already be viewed online. “The Cross Industry trade fair offers ideal opportunities. Companies looking to tap into new markets and generate additional leads should secure an exhibition space now – together we will find a suitable space,” says Marianny Eisenhofer, Director POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. “We are looking forward to bringing together the many sectors that make up the processing community again in September, and to showcasing POWTECH TECHNOPHARM as the heart of the process engineering industry.” Survey results gathered by an independent institution show that in 2025, 96 percent of the surveyed exhibitors were able to make new business connections and expected a positive impact on business. Likewise, 96 percent of the visitors surveyed had an optimistic view of the future and were satisfied with their visit to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2025.
This year’s POWTECH TECHNOPHARM will be held in the centrally located Halls 7A to 9 at the Nuremberg exhibition venue. These are ideally located for easy access from the metro station as well as the Mitte and the large Ost parking areas. Once again, the exhibition ticket this year will include the VGN KombiTicket for local public transport. That means both exhibitors and visitors can enjoy free, environmentally friendly travel to and from POWTECH TECHNOPHARM by metro, tram, bus and regional rail within Nuremberg and some surrounding areas.
Practical knowledge and a broad spectrum of businesses
The international community for process engineering meets in Nuremberg in autumn to introduce the latest technologies and future-oriented innovations, to interact with each other and also to discuss and tackle the challenges and opportunities relating to all aspects of processing powders, solids and liquids. Analysing, size reduction, screening, mixing, conveying, storing, dosing and compacting … dynamic processes are everywhere in process engineering. In addition to mechanical, thermal and analytical processes, this also includes methods for processing materials in liquid or paste form and bulk solids together. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM is the international platform where exhibitors can present the latest product innovations and services in process engineering to the key sectors in the industry.
Once again this year, the exhibition halls will be the place to meet long-familiar exhibitors as well as first-timers who are adding to the wide range of technology products and services used for processing in every sector. Developers, heads of production, decision-makers and buyers from various sectors including foodstuffs, the chemical, pharmaceutical and recycling industries and explosion protection particularly appreciate the ability to engage with their peers on technical questions: Processes, machines and components can be experienced first-hand, with the focus on professional guidance on selecting innovations and practicable solutions for individual problems. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM enables visitors from all sectors to think beyond the box, experience technological diversity, pick up ideas from adjacent sectors and discover unexpected inspirations.
Focus on market and trend topics
Sustainability and the circular economy are a key focus in all segments of the process industry right now. There is also a focus on expanding the automation and digitalization of production. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026 will provide a dedicated space for these themes, which will include special display areas. “Our pavilions provide exhibitors with an uncomplicated opportunity to participate in the exhibition, and the way themes are clustered attracts a high level of visitor attention,” asserts Eisenhofer. She explains further: “The key aspects are networking and more in-depth interaction with experts. You’ll find innovative first-time exhibitors, smaller firms and newcomers to process engineering, all in the same place.”
The following pavilions are planned for POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026: Pharma in Focus, Recycling in Focus, Smart Industry in Focus and the Processing Alliance pavilion representing the global network of leading trade fairs in the NürnbergMesse Group. The Alliance combines key international markets through events such as analytica Latin America, FCE Cosmetique, FCE Pharma, FOODTECH & GLOBAL PACK and IPB China, thus creating powerful synergies and a global range for exhibitors. Current topics from the world of process engineering and the key sectors of industry are also covered at the established POWTECH TECHNOPHARM Forum: This is where companies have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their innovative solutions to an interested public using Stage Talks, and to engage in dialogue with the audience.
Once again in 2026, a further highlight of POWTECH TECHNOPHARM will be the special show by VDMA, a long-standing partner to the exhibition: Current topics and solutions of interest will be displayed under the heading “Clean Air – Smart Processing”, organized by the two sector associations, Air Handling Technology as well as Process Engineering Machinery and Apparatus, in collaboration with their member companies.
Young, innovative companies from Germany will introduce themselves at the sponsored “Young Innovators” joint stand again this year. This area for start-ups will be complemented by an International Start-up Area. Promoting new talents also remains a key component: On the Student Day, POWTECH TECHNOPHARM invites educational institutions and students to get to know the world of process engineering in practice and make some valuable initial contacts. Interaction and networking are also in focus at Women4Processing, where dedicated women in industry, R&D, marketing and sales as well as science gather to share knowledge, learn from each other and create new inspirations for the process engineering industry. This will be the second appearance for this networking format following its launch at the previous edition of POWTECH TECHNOPHARM.
Virtual Talks, Industry Insights – professional inspiration in the lead-up to the exhibition
Interested trade visitors will be able to gain extensive insights even before the actual exhibition in September. POWTECH TECHNOPHARM offers a continuous programme online: In its VIRTUAL TALKS webinar series, experts from the process engineering industry regularly present solutions and applications on current industry themes. Participation is free. And the Industry Insights platform offers exclusive specialist presentations on developments, trends and projects from the fields of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and other process industries, including topics such as battery production, containment, the circular economy, automation and digitalization. A free monthly news service keeps subscribers up to date on an ongoing basis.
