Powders & instant products at high speed
Challenges and solutions for handling and packaging bulk materials in the life sciences industry
The packaging of powders and instant products in the life sciences industry is becoming increasingly demanding: smaller container formats such as bags, disks, sticks, sachets, and capsules are encountering ever higher cycle rates, in some cases exceeding 1,000 packages per minute. However, not every product is suitable for this high-speed process. Dust formation, inhomogeneity, or unfavorable flow properties often lead to malfunctions.
This lecture forum will highlight the key properties that powders and instant products must have for smooth processing. At the same time, it will show how packaging problems can be avoided through targeted measures in production and handling.
Attend the presentations moderated by Prof. Rainer Barnekow on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the POWTECH FORUM (Hall 12-230) and learn how to optimally prepare your powders and instant products for the packaging process!
