The extensive PARTEC program attracts numerous participants.

Sharing expertise, providing impetus, expanding networks - these are the goals of PARTEC 2025. From September 23 to 25, the renowned congress on particle technology will once again invite international experts to Nuremberg. The event is regarded as one of the leading meeting places for science, industry and engineering when it comes to particles, powders and solids.

This year's program once again promises top-class contributions and trend-setting discussions. Anyone interested in the latest developments in process engineering or wanting to find out about sustainable and digital innovations is in the right place at PARTEC.

A look at the main topics of PARTEC 2025 shows: The range is broad, the relevance high. Among other things, the focus will be on

  • Particle production and formulation
  • Measurement technology, characterization and modelling
  • Processes for solids processing
  • Applications in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food and energy
  • Digitalization, simulation and artificial intelligence in process engineering
  • Sustainable processes and circular economy

With over 400 submitted contributions and around 30 thematic sessions, the program offers a wealth of exciting topics. One example: The session “AI-supported Design and Control of Particle Processes” will focus on the use of artificial intelligence to optimize complex production processes – a topic that is currently gaining in importance in many industries.

The food industry is also prominently represented: The session “Particles and Processes in Food Engineering” will show how granular materials and modern process technology can contribute to quality assurance and increased efficiency. Another highlight is the session “Particle Systems for Battery and Energy Applications”, in which new material systems and processes for the energy transition will be presented.

„The PARTEC 2025 program reflects the entire spectrum of current developments – from AI-supported processes and sustainable particle technologies to innovative applications in energy, pharmaceuticals and food technology. This diversity is what makes the congress so exciting and relevant.“

– Prof. Dr. Lutz Mädler, Chairman of PARTEC 2025

International, interdisciplinary, inspiring

PARTEC traditionally has an international focus. Participants from around 30 countries are expected to attend, including renowned universities, research institutes and industrial companies. The exchange between basic research and industrial application is specifically promoted.

The keynote lectures are a particular highlight of the program. Here, internationally renowned speakers will speak on key topics of the congress - impulses that frame the scientific program and stimulate interdisciplinary discussion. Details of all the lectures can be found in the congress program.

Another highlight is the Friedrich Löffler Prize. With this prize, the jury honors the best young scientific contributions. The award ceremony is not only recognition for excellent research, but also a barometer for future trends in particle technology.

Science and applications in dialog

“The future of our industrial processes depends heavily on how well we can understand and control particles,” says Lutz Mädler, Chairman of PARTEC 2025. “With PARTEC, we are creating a space in which researchers, developers and users can work together on solutions.”

The success of this dialogue is also due to the thematic breadth of the program. In addition to traditional process engineering topics, issues of sustainability and digitalization will also be addressed. The “Green Particle Technology” session, for example, will show how particle-based processes can be made more environmentally friendly. And in “Digital Twins and Multiscale Simulations”, the focus will be on how virtual models can help to better understand processes and control them more efficiently.

Synergies with POWTECH TECHNOPHARM

PARTEC takes place parallel to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. This results in immeasurable added value for participants: scientific findings and industrial solutions can be experienced and discussed in one place and at the same time. It‘s easy to think outside the box – because the ticket for PARTEC is also valid for a visit to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM.
