POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026: new hall concept, more compact opening hours

POWTECH TECHNOPHARM is moving. Not too far – the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre will remain the home of the processing community in 2026. However, different halls will be occupied next year. This is the trade fair's response to exhibitors' requests. Many visitors will also benefit from the new hall configuration and changed opening hours.

Impressions from POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2025 are still fresh in the memory. The trade fair team is already working flat out on the concept for the next POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. It will take place as scheduled next year. There is a lot to consider. Above all, Marianny Eisenhofer, Director POWTECH TECHNOPHARM, and her colleagues want to incorporate the valuable feedback from visitors and exhibitors that they collected during and after the trade fair. After all, the trade fair should be organised as well as possible again in 2026.

First, this concerns the hall allocation. This is because FACHPACK, which occupied the remaining halls at NürnbergMesse in 2025, will not be held in 2026. This opens more options for POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. According to a recent survey, the majority of exhibitors would like to see POWTECH TECHNOPHARM ‘move’ in 2026. This year, it occupied Halls 9 to 12. In 2026, it will move a little further east and then run in one go from the central entrance to the east entrance.

Advisory board approves new halls for POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026

The final decision on this was made at the end of October in consultation with the advisory board. This board comprises representatives of long-standing exhibitors as well as universities and associations that support POWTECH TECHNOPHARM in spirit. In particular, the APV, VDMA, VDI-GVC and VDI Wissensforum associations represent the interests of their members, who include both exhibitors and visitors. The exhibitors are represented by employees and managing directors from AZO, Coperion K-Tron, Hecht Technologie, Hosokawa Alpine, Haver & Boecker, Malvern Panalytical and steute Technologies. Together with the trade fair representatives, they chose Halls 7A, 7, 8 and 9, as the venue for the 2026 trade fair. This decision was in line with the clear wishes of the majority of exhibitors.

In 2026, this will give visitors direct access to POWTECH TECHNOPHARM from two sides, via the two attractive, light-flooded Congress Centres of the exhibition centre. From the Messe underground station, visitors can go directly to Hall 9 via the central entrance and the NCC Mitte. From the large car park to the east, visitors can go to Hall 7A via the NCC Ost, from where they can directly access the large Hall 7. Halls 7, 8 and 9 offer direct access to the exhibition park, where live demonstrations on explosion protection will take place, as in previous years.

Marianny Eisenhofer, Director of POWTECH TECHNOPHARM, explains the decision: "The feedback from our exhibitors was clear. They wanted a different hall configuration. Therefore in 2026, we will use Halls 7A to 9. This will give even more visitors direct access to the occupied halls and allow them to reach the exhibitors without any detours." In addition, shuttle buses will also be provided in 2026 to connect the car parks with the east and central entrances. This means that visitors arriving by underground will also be able to reach the East Entrance at Hall 7A quickly. And those arriving by car will also be able to reach their preferred entrance without having to walk long distances.

Secure your early bird discount until March!

This means that many attractive locations are now available to exhibitors. Only those who exhibited in Hall 9 in 2025 can simply keep their good stand location. All others will coordinate their 2026 location directly with the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM team. “To ensure this is done in the best viable way, we are giving our exhibitors more time. That is why the early bird discount will be available until the end of March 2026,” emphasises Eisenhofer.

She urges exhibitors: "Take advantage of all the opportunities available to you and let your customers know as soon as possible that you will be exhibiting at POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026. Also, let them know your new stand location as soon as you know it.” Although 2026 will be a ‘normal POWTECH TECHNOPHARM year,’ the rhythm has not yet become second nature to everyone: two consecutive years of trade fairs, followed by a year's break. So, from 29 September to 1 October 2026, we will meet again to experience the world of process technology up close and stay in touch with the community. You can find out who exhibited at previous events in the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM exhibitor directory. This contains not only the range of products and services offered by the exhibitors and their contact details, but also many details about the exhibits and innovations at POWTECH TECHNOPHARM. Conversely, the product database can be used to find suppliers for a specific product category and their latest innovations. From spring onwards, visitors to the website will be able to see for themselves that a visit in 2026 will be worthwhile, too.

Recipe for intensive trade fair days right up to the end

Another new feature for POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026 concerns the opening hours. These will be slightly shortened. On the first two days, the trade fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on the third day it will close at 4 p.m., which is one hour earlier than in 2025. ‘This is in line with the changed travel habits of our trade fair visitors. Nowadays, trade fair visits are planned more efficiently, both ecologically and economically.’

Marianny Eisenhofer also has a tip for exhibitors regarding this change: “Make intensive use of the time from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 4 p.m.! Visitors' schedules will be even tighter in 2026 than they were this year. Enable visitors to your stand to get the most out of their visit to the trade fair.” Even more than in previous years, the following applies: A visit to the trade fair replaces five to six business trips. Competent contact persons throughout the entire period offer visitors high-quality discussions until the end of the trade fair. This means that POWTECH TECHNOPHARM 2026, which is more time-efficient than previous editions, can be even more successful and continue to establish itself as Europe's leading trade fair for process operations.
