The world of process engineering is constantly on the move – innovations are emerging, processes are being optimized, and new solutions are driving the industry forward. But where do theory and practice meet to shape progress together? In Nuremberg of course: PARTEC takes place at the same time as POWTECH TECHNOPHARM at the exhibition center. The simultaneous organization of the trade fair and science congress creates precisely this unique space for synergies.
While POWTECH TECHNOPHARM presents state-of-the-art processes, systems and technologies for processing powders, solids and liquids, PARTEC offers a platform for scientific exchange at the highest level. The international congress is one of the largest of its kind dealing with all aspects of particle and powder technology. The program includes particle formation processes, methods and devices for particle characterization and measurement, processes such as agglomeration, compaction and coating, formulation and properties of products as well as applications of particles of all kinds. This is where researchers meet users, theory meets practice – and the dialog generates new ideas that drive the industry forward.
Anyone who wants to play an active role in shaping the future of particle technology should seize this opportunity: Participation in PARTEC not only provides in-depth insights into current research results but also enables direct exchange with industry representatives who put these findings into practice.
“PARTEC 2025 is one of the world’s most important events for particle and powder technology and creates a unique interface between science and industry. The parallel alignment with POWTECH TECHNOPHARM, where innovative, market-ready technologies are presented, creates a direct exchange between research and application,” says Prof. Lutz Mädler, Director of the Leibniz Institute for Materials Technology (IWT) at the University of Bremen and Chairman of PARTEC 2025. “Scientific findings meet industrial practice directly here – an environment in which ideas are translated into industrial solutions more quickly. Intensive knowledge transfer benefits from this synergy, innovations are accelerated, and new perspectives are created for everyone involved.”
Partnership-based collaboration over many years
The VDI-Gesellschaft Verfahrenstechnik und Chemieingenieurwesen (VDI-GVC) stands for the participation of the entire spectrum of relevant representatives from industry and research. As a scientific partner of PARTEC, the VDI-GVC supports the organizer NürnbergMesse and contributes to the promotion of scientific exchange in this field. Under the motto “Particles strengthen the future: Innovations for our global world”, all experts and experts from the aforementioned fields are invited to give a presentation at the congress and present project and research results as well as innovative new products.
Focus on the next generation: Competition for young talents
PARTEC also promotes scientific competition: the Friedrich Löffler Prize will be awarded during the congress. The award promotes young engineering talent and is presented every three years by the VDI-GVC to a scientist with a doctorate. It is named in honor of the German hygienist and bacteriologist, who was one of Robert Koch’s most important collaborators and made a significant contribution to the discovery of the diphtheria pathogen, among other things.
For the first time, PARTEC 2025 will also be the venue for the finals of the ChemCar and chemPLANT young talent competitions organized by the VDI. For ChemCar, competitors will develop model vehicles powered by chemical or biochemical reactions. The chemPLANT competition focuses on theoretical knowledge and practical applications of process engineering. With PARTEC as the venue, the VDI is further strengthening its cooperation with NürnbergMesse.
